There are numerous trains that Run from Different cities of India towards Lucknow, but most of them Run via New Delhi or Delhi railway station.
I was recently travelling from one of the trains from Delhi station so I did a video about showing how one can reach from Okhla, New Delhi to Lucknow via train.
So I travelled in the Gorakhdham Express train which was running four hours late. It is not the cleanest train or the best train for the journey but since I did not have the reservation, I found out that one of my relatives were going from that train, so I simply booked my ticket, which was still waiting, but since Indian Railways allows the passengers with waiting tickets, to travel if they manage the journey without a seat.
This train connects the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The two terminal stations that it connects are Hissar, Haryana and Gorakhpur, UP. It has been operating with train numbers 12555 and 12556. The distance travelled by the train is 962 kms. Running with an average good speed of 55 km/hour, it takes about 17 hours and 25 minutes of time to cover the entire distance. It runs on every day basis. As per the timetable that is been scheduled and defined, train 12555 leaves Gorakhpur daily at 16:35 hours and reaches Hissar very next day in the morning by 10:00 hours. On the other side, train 12556 leaves Hissar daily at 16:25 hours and reaches very next day at Gorakhpur at 09:45 hours.
It departs from Delhi at 8:20 PM and reaches Lucknow at 4:45 AM

Which train is Delhi to Lucknow AC special that runs between New Delhi to Lucknow, from 11:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. There is another train called Shatabdi Express that one’s between New Delhi to Lucknow from 6:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
